Character Information

Name: Lady
Age: 16-18
Fandom: Devil May Cry
Appearance: Link. Link. Link.

Lady looks like she might have just come home from Catholic school--right before she stocks up at an ammo shop. She wears a simple skirt and white button-up shirt and red knee hight boots, with guns and ammunition over that. Her hair is cut short so it's out of the way, and her lifestyle fighting demonic threats for the last couple of years has rewarded her with scars all over her body. Besides all this, she almost looks like any normal teenage girl, save for a condition she has in her eyes: one is red and one is blue, a genetic gift she received from her father.

History: DMC Wiki
Canon Point: Right after DMC3
Personality: (Personality Redo)
Lady was just a normal teenage girl who grew up hearing crazy myths her father told her about demons up until the moment her father sacrificed her mother for a demonic ritual, then making the demons in the stories very, very real. After loosing everything, she decides she needs revenge, and so she goes after her father and all the demons she can find. She desperately wants to kill him, feeling compelled to the point of obsession, swearing to kill every last one of them even if it kills her.

Lady has a little bit of a temper, having once shot somebody she didn't even know was a demon in the head, because they ... saved her life. Her reason was, she could have handled it, so don't get in her way. Because of that, if you meet Lady you better hope she's not in a bad mood, but if she's already doing alright you can probably talk to her without any damage coming to anybody. Hey, she might even like you! If that's the case then she'll probably talk to you about things that annoy her, or maybe things you both hate.

Beneath the many layers of killing demons, shooting things, killing demons, shooting people who get in her way, and killing more demons, she really isn't that much different than a lot of teenage girls. You can have civil conversations with her, she likes to shop for clothes, and it can be noted that her hair is styled, letting it be assumed that she before she goes off to destroy evil, she does her hair. And beneath her layers of that, all she wants to do is destroy evil and protect good. She doesn't kill demons because she enjoys killing, she does it because they are evil and must therefore die, and, in her mind, she's one of the few that have the ability to carry out the death sentence. That doesn't mean she's completely void of emotion, though. Even after all the horrible things her father did (and it was a lot of bad thing) and how much she hated him (it was a lot), after she dealt the final blow to him she still cried.

Because of her past, she also has trust issues. The only person she does trust is Dante, and he had to go through three seperate occasion of her trying to kill him, had to save the world, and kill his own brother to gain that honor. Even though he's her only friend, she still works alone. It's not like she would hate working with him, and if she had to work with anybody she would choose Dante, but she still feels like she can handle most things on her own.

Even though her father is dead, she wont stop killing demons. She'll never stop, and she'll probably die doing it. There are a lot more demons and truly evil beings out there. More monsters like her father will rise and gain power again, unless she does something about it.

Game Specific

Suitability: In a world were demons kill humans mercilessly, Lady picks up a gun and a lot of ammo to kill those demons. Even when the main threats are still out of her league, she still kills the lesser demons all the time, and she still goes after the main bosses because she's stubborn and tough, and because they piss her off. She will never admit she's hurt, even if she's sitting in a pool of her own blood, and she'll keep on fighting until she's physically incapable of standing back up again.

Weapon: She's used to having a rocket launcher and at least a dozen semi-auto pistols, but here she's going to have to make due with a single Hi-Point CF-380, also known and a Beemiller. For one, that is already a crappy gun, but this one is not only old and rusted, it doesn't even shoot straight. The normal 8 shots have been reduced to 7, and the safety often gets stuck.

Samples

Log/Third Person Sample:

In Santa Destroy, there wasn't any sign of vegetation, and there was garbage everywhere. There was a constant smell of sewage, and you couldn't see anything more than 20 miles in any direction because of the smog. The buildings were all beat up, even the new ones, and Burger Suplex was no exception. At even given point at least two of the lights on the sign were out, and that window to the right of the door was still smashed in, likely due to somebody robbing the place. Lucky them, they probably got 50 bucks out of the cashier, and that would have been on a good day.

"Where's my Pepsi?"

To say Lady was just unhappy to be here would be a sad, sad understatement. She'd rather be back in Temin-Ni-Gru with countless demons trying to kill her than taking orders at Burger Suplex, but that's what she was doing anyway. "And that double patty!"

Here is your damn patty, she thought. "Here you go, sir," she said.

She could feel her Beemiller in her holster, under her skirt, and it the crappiest gun she had ever had. It didn't even shoot straight, and would probably only tickle anything that she managed to hit on accident.

"This isn't mine, I ordered no pickles!"

... But she could probably make a shot on a guy three feet from her. Even if this guy was a human, she was little a little tempted.

She just sighed. "Yes, sir," and took the burger back.

"And that Pepsi!"

Why did Lady work here? Because it was something to do, it was money to make, and surprisingly the best joint in the area. And if she didn't have something to do she would just be forced into more death matches than she's already got on her hands. She wasn't enjoying a second of this, and she wasn't planning on staying long either.

It's all a matter of time until she figures out who she needs to fight to get out of this, but until then ... she'd survive this. She had to.

Journal Entry/First Person Sample:

All I want is a bed and some peace and quiet for just a couple of hours, okay? The walls are so thin here that I can hear the neighbors and their shows, and I can't even turn mine on to drown them out because I don't have a working television. And the third day my bed frame actually broke, so I am not staying one more night here.

[ She sounds like she hates you, even though you didn't do anything. ]

I explicitly asked for no room service, but they gave it to me anyways, and they took all the money I made from my crappy job this week to pay for it. So I'm going out to find a decent place to stay now, so I don't recommend coming over to visit me, unless you want to get shot.

[ She moves to turn the feed off, muttering to herself, which you can just catch as it--] What the hell use is this piece of crap pistol going to do to anybody anywa [--cuts out. ]
